The God Who Sets Everything in Motion
From the very first verse of Scripture, we see that God is the source of all motion. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Creation itself was an act of divine force. The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, setting the cosmos into motion and order.
Psalm 19:1 declares, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Every rotation of the earth and every orbit of the stars testify to a God who not only started motion but continues to sustain it.
